Tai Chi Chuan
Tai Chi Chuan, or "supreme ultimate fist," is an internal Chinese martial art. The focus is to harmonize with the opponent using both relaxed, effortless movements and physics principles to defeat him. Traditional Tai Chi Chuan training is intended to teach awareness of one's own balance and the awareness of the same in others.
Although students may pursue Tai Chi Chuan as a martial art, many with little or no interest in martial training practice the art for its benefits to health and for health maintenance. The Tai Chi forms promote proper breathing and relaxation technique and is ideal for stress management, improved flexibility and general health benefits.
Both the Sun and Yang Forms of Tai Chi are available to students.
