Judo
Judo, meaning "gentle way", is a modern Japanese martial art and combat sport that originated in Japan in the late nineteenth century. It is a very competitive style, incorporating throws, grappling and submission techniques. During a match, the object is to either throw to the ground, immobilize or otherwise subdue one's opponent. Alternatively, you may force an opponent to submit by joint locking the elbow or applying a choke.
These various techniques are incorporated into the Fire and Water Mixed Martial Arts System, but a student may also pursue this art as his main focus.
